Our fundraiser for n2osx (Carl) was a great success. The generosity of this forum is beyond words. We raised $450 for Carl during CFO at the banquet and the check was mailed this past Tuesday.
I'm out in the Portland area and just had lunch with Carl. He's in great spirits despite the accident and the hassles he's enduring with the insurance company, the traffic ticket thing (he was cited) and being out of work. I went to lunch with Carl today and got to see the bike firsthand. Wow. It's amazing he wasn't more seriously injured.
I have the plaque that we all signed out here, but forgot to take it when I saw him. My girlfriend has it and will deliver it when she sees him next week.
He checked his mail after I left his house and he has the check. He called to let me know how much he appreciates it and that he can't get over how generous we are. (and how generous this Forum is in general). He can't wait to get another FJR.
