When I bought my '07 from the dealer (used) it came with a couple of things on it I didn't expect. One of them was a non-stock windscreen. I was thinking of chopping it down to get more airflow until I bought a stock one from Motard and found out how much larger mine was. It's a good 3 inches longer. (I'm speaking about the windshield)

pics are here.

My question is...Who makes it. Is it the Yamaha taller windscreen or something else? It's just a little wider than stock and like I said 3 inches taller.

Looks like the taller Yam. touring screen to me.
Me, too! The CeeBailey screens don't have the relief cut into them. IIRC, only the OEM screens and CalSci screens have the side relief (notch). IIRC, the CalSci screens are narrower at the top.

The taller Yamaha shields have the word Yamaha silkscreened along the bottom. Whatever it is, if its doing the job, stick with it good luck

That's the funny part. For me (6' tall, 32" inseam) it worked TOO well. I couldn't get any air behind the screen and was sweating my a** off even in a mesh jacket. I actually had to get a stock windscreen for the bike to be comfortable. I'm trying to decide if I'll keep this one as a spare for longer trips or sell it for $$ to put toward farkles.

I agree that it looks like a Yama Touring shield. The new touring shield that came with my used bike (still in the box), did not have any stenciled Yamaha name or logo on it... just that aggravating little yellow sticker that took about an hour to remove!

With mine in the full up position, I am riding in an almost still pocket of air, and on a hot day, it is a little oppresive. I got caught in some fairly heavy rain on the way back from California last week, and the touring screen kept me almost completely dry with the exception of my elbows, so it's not all bad! Playing a bit with the w/s switch allowed me to find the sweet spot that put just enough air on the face shield to keep it remarkably clear... as I recall, I was looking over the top of the w/s by an inch or two.
