What are you getting your FJR for Christmas?

Only a few more shopping weeks left, so it's time to get cracking.

Here's my short list:

1) Redesigned Super Brace

2) Givi V46 top case

3) Russell or Rick Mayer saddle

4) HID headlight conversion

5) Audiovox cruise control

6) Set of Avons

Going under "the knife" Dec. 16th and will be pretty much out of it for 8 weeks during recovery, so anyone who wants to come install some of this stuff for me is welcome to. I might just let you ride it.

Toss up between a seat and GPS. Since I still haven't decided if I'm going to get an '06 (seats aren't interchangeable, right?), I might go with a GPS. Anything else I buy will, most likely, have to be interchangeable with the 06.

Eve's idea was that we get a better intercom setup for ourselves for Christmas. I ordered a Softline setup last night. Next Saturday we do a ride-in for a Rick Mayer saddle fitting. HID conversion is waiting for me to install. V-Strom handguard kit is on order. Long distance riding in cold weather is about to get more comfortable. She ordered some expedition-weight long underwear yesterday so she can come along! Oh yeah, and a Lee Parks advanced riding clinic tomorrow for me so we can be safer & smoother (and maybe a bit quicker). Super brace might be on the list before Christmas as well, maybe.

Got the HID's on order.

Last X-mas (plus tax returns) was the big one (Givi V46, Riley pegs, Gerbings liner, Spiegler lines [Ack! still not installed], Top Gun ECM shelf, Autocom, radiator guard, CB+3+4 shield, and Powerlet kits).

Now I need to think about a custom saddle for next year.

I have a rare guaranteed entry into the next Three Flags Classic (9/1 to 9/4, Tijuana to Penticton) but I don't figure my stock saddle (or is it my stock @ss?) is up to the task. I get cranky after six to eight hours of riding and I sure don't want to hop back on the next day.
