So we had snow. Again. 8 inches or so and the county did a crappy shoveling job.

Zero degrees this morning, left the bike in the nice warm garage and took the BMW 330i - a pig in the snow.

5 miles from work, 80 mph on the highway and blam. wubba wubba wubba...... limped to the tire place with a shredded tire. I know, I know, at least it wasn't on the bike. But geez, snow, salt, 1 degree, and new tires?

Here, also.

HHR with Blizzaks is pretty good on snow/ice, but I dislike driving this time of year, partly b/c of the pea gravel they put on the roads instead of sand.

Just last week I had to replace the windscreen due to a rock kicked up from one of the grit trucks

I'll be lucky to get the feej on the road by April, and it'll be well into May before most of the grit/gravel/crap is swept off

Sigh

Saw the first sign of spring here, the city had the street cleaner out. Starting to pick up all that sand they've put down since winter began.

I saw the first sign of Spring here, too: A big ole' Oregon girl wearing spandex shorts, flip-flops, and a tube top in Wal-Mart.

She didn't have curlers in her hair, so technically its still winter.

Oooohhh, saw another sign. Local furniture store turns their parking lot into a nursery. Saw bark being spread on the lot this morning. It's coming, I tell ya all.

Thinking about putting the box scraper on the tractor and working on the road. I might find some of the neighbors cars in the pot holes. Supposed to be sunny and 60 this weekend so if I create a road maybe I can ride.
