Where I least expected it...

We went by another station Tuesday to have our Nav system worked on, and while poking around I noticed the front wheel and partial nose of an ST poking out from between two engines in the apparatus bay. Imagine my surprise to find a brand new Connie sitting there, in a department where the vast majority ride cruisers. It was a nice silver color as well.

I tracked down the owner and initiated a bike-related conversation. He mentioned that he also considered the FJR, but the "More power" thing and the fact that it was the only ST in the running that didn't have linked brakes made it an easy call.

Can't wait to see it in action!

Having been a Concours owner for so long, I really thought the 14 would be my next bike. The main thing holding me back was I've never had much luck with first year models of any new bike or car. A friend that works at my local Yamaha shop made sure I got a deal too good to resist.

I'll be watching to see how much R&D the guys that buy the 14 have to do. It is a cool bike tho. :thumbsup:
