Was cruising the Euro site and came across this guy....YZF-R125

Ok...It's a 4 stroke and I want it. Even just to fling around for the day. Bet it's fun, fun, fun.

I just learned that because of the step licensing system, Europe gets the COOLEST small displacement stuff!

I am disgruntled that we don't have those options here, but i guess it makes sense... why would a young man all hot to go fast buy one of these little jewels when he could just by a GSX-R 1000?

<_<

No doubt. While I admit to being a power/speed addict I totally wouldn't mind a "small" sporty bike. Hell if they made one here in the 250 range that wasn't completely low tech I'd be all over it.

I'd take one of these for twisty riding anyday over a 600/750/1000.

Aprilia has the new RS 125 out now also but it's a two stroke and therefore not really compliant with my local twisties.

Hey G8.....Info over on the Euro site. One can lust right?

That would be a GREAT first bike for a teenager. I have a 14 year old that is all about looks. This thing looks faster than it is (top speed of 75 said another site), fuel efficient, and yet economical, so as a concerned parent, this would be a perfect first bike for him. Yamaha seems to be spending a great deal on releasing new, bigger models of scooters here in the US because of the fuel efficiencies over a car, perhaps we will see this here next year!!!

Maybe the other Jap makers will see the success Kawi is having with the the Ninja 250 & build some competition. Even the small Virago 250 is very hard to find for sale & it's a legacy design.

Oh man, that is just sweet!

The Honda 125's look like lil mosquitos

*SQUASH*

Too bad we can't just order one from the other side of the pond like anything else. I remember there used to be a place in California in the late 80's where you could do just that, for a price. I doubt they're around anymore but they were called EMI(Exotic Motorcycle Imports).

Anyone know of any place like that now?

Of course they used to do this.

Choices abounded from 125cc on up.

Buying choices of the American consumer led to larger displacment bikes.

I'd like somehting in the 400 cc, 300lbs, 65 hp, ABS, bags, 65+mpg at 70+...
