08 wins. Too good a deal to pass up between the warranty and the price.
Wow! Great deal. I hope it's not one with the French detuned motor. A few of them made it stateside you know. I think they're the ones with the gray side panels where the full 145 hp North American models have black side panels. ;)

Research and testing has shown that the 2008 is better looking, handling and faster than all other years.

If you are female, it will make you sexier.

If you are male, it will make you more manly.

If you are androgynous, it will make you more androgynousier.

Just saying.

Oh good, I could use a dose of sexy right about now. My hair dresser really screwed the pooch, so to speak.

Totally out of sight with a helmet on, of course!

Okay, let Warchild give you YOUR next haircut! See if "oh you can't see it with the helmet on" make YOU feel any better!

Picking it up Saturday. And yes, I'm told it is Black.

...I dunno, maybe some of you are girls, but I was kind of surprised that so many boys were so influenced by color. I didn't give a crap about that unless it were something hideous... I think it's black, but honestly, I am not certain.
Depends on whether or not you wash your bike, and if you ride it or just polish it. If you ride and wash, black keeps you busy. But I do like the '08 mechanically.

Good Luck! You'll love it for sure.

Again?

It's been months since Gerlach. It should have grown out a little by now. I see that blonde wig in your business future again...

I have known very few women that were satisfied with the way their hair was cut and of the few, none past the day after. Very similar to the eternal search for the right purse.

Men spend their lives on the quest for the meaning of life. Women, the quest for the perfect purse or haircut.

Just ask my wife.

Dude, you think I was kidding about Warchild cutting my hair? I wasn't. I realize you don't know me. But you really don't know me!

Here's his handiwork from the tequilla fueled previous evening.

Here's the nice young lady who did her best to correct it. With a zero blade.

And here's the after.

I may have ****, but I ain't the other women you know. Trust me on that.

Nice 'do. No more helmet-hair, eh?
 Different helmet hair.

Don't sweat it Nancy, Sticky likely has no understanding of Warchild yet. Nevermind Gerlachfest or Tequila induced haircuts by "close friends".

Congrats on the black bike. Make that phone call to Russell.

Nor does Karmak. Haircuts and purses?

But you're right, Er, the helmet hair is worse with hair an inch long. Ibut there was no helmet hair when I was bald!) I get the Matt Watkins post IBR cornrows now. I personally liked the #3 blade haircut. Walt does not. He was less impressed with the zero blade. He NEVER asks me for anything. So after 12 years of having my way all the time, I can give on this and let a little hair grow.

He's out again. As I guess you can tell, I made this purchase kind of spur of the moment. Sent him an email and told him I did. His response? "Cool. Start buying the stuff you need for it and we'll lay it all out when I get back so you're ready before Cape Fear"

He really did say NEED, not WANT. My kind of man! Lucky for me, he thinks I'm his kind of woman too!

I can find this out on my own, but it's much easier to ask you. Do I have to send Russell my seat to reuse the pan? Are you saying that Yamaha's website is misleading on how great it is for all day touring?

Thank you for all the well wishes, I am looking forward to making this baby mine.

Holy S#!T, THAT must've itched in the helmet as it grew out!

:D

Glad to have you adding some excitement to the group.

So are you adding a cruise? I'm guessing you will, so any idea which?

Yep, me too, but I kinda like it. No one, I mean NO ONE screws with a tired, pissed off, 280 lbs dude in full gear with corn rows.

You two are a good match.

Yes, you need to send them your seat pan. Unless you score a '06-'09 used seat off fleabay to send to them. No changes that I am aware of, seat wise, for all Gen II.

And I see you're familiar with Yamaha's Marketing linguistic schpeel. Your All Day Mav Vary.

Hey Cdub - you're practically my neighbor! It did itch a bit right up front, but not too terrible. I would just grab the chin bar and pull it up and down to scratch my head.

What do you mean by cruise? Cruise control? Throttle lock? Hadn't thought about it.

Honestly, I'm a tad pissed right now. Hopefully, this will sort itself out tomorrow. Keeping the blood pressure in check for tonight...

Thanks for the feedback on the seat, OC, I won't be without a seat so I'll need to start searching fleabay, etc. Or maybe get the dealer to GIVE me one to make up for tonight's little faux pas.

I take it all back!!!!

Reminds me of the time I walked in on one of my wife's haircuts (in progress) and I started laughing, thinking it was a joke-but it wasn't and she hadn't seen it yet! Almost the same result!!!!

Hello Kitty......the '08 is NOT black, sheesh!! You think that the clowns on this site would know that  The correct color is RAVEN for cryin' out loud! And wa all know that raven is the "prettier" shade of black :yahoo: Enjoy the ride, and have many happy miles!

Congrats, Miss Kitty! (On the bike, not the haircut!) And when you do the cruise control, I wanna see how it's done. Moving the aux tank over from then old bike, or doing something new?

Thanks Chaz, it is a very sweet ride.

Prolly the same old Aux tank. Thinking about getting an extra pillon seat and making it a permanent mount on that and then can swap 'em out as I like.
