Someone from here? Fess up.

FJR-camper.jpg

Seen somewhere between MA and FL (SC or NC, I think, don't remember exactly, was a helluva long drive) on I95, 4/24.

Nice rig, BTW.

Think positive!Maybe they bought it while on vacation.
Sssshhh! Do NOT let his wife see this picture. While the previously happily married couple were on vacation together, he found a great deal on a little runabout. Convincing the dear lady that the commuter bike would save a lot of gas (thus financing more road trips together), he was able to purchase the scooter. While Momma was sitting comfortably in the passenger side Barcalounger, Pop and the salesman lifted the bike between them, onto the bicycle rack. (He REALLY wanted this bike).

I have it on good authority, that the lady wife was to be dropped off at one of the best spas in town when they got home, while her thoughtful husband unloaded EVERYTHING from the camper, and put things into their rightful places.

Isn't it amazing the lengths that some men will go to?

Someone should tell him the FJR isn't a Hardly, and can get there on it's own :p

Seriously nice setup tho

You guys are awfully critical. Perhaps he's taking the "portable cabin" to use as his base camp while he explores to his heart's content. Momma's happy in the cabin, he's happy enjoying back roads and they're traveling together.

Yes, as a single person, it is easy for me to "pack and go". Some of you have wife-units who would willing participate....others have wives who would rather fly to the destination and then enjoy day-rides (Like some are doing at NAFO.). If this is what pleases the dynamic of their household, good for them.

Some of you who can't afford the "toys" this man can might just want to back up and take a breath! To me that's a pretty classy combination he has working for him.

Yeah I gotta agree. Nothing wrong with the "base camp" strategy... or maybe the guy has a bunch of kids in the coach too. Nevertheless, I'm not gonna judge him, I'll bet he's having fun.

That hydraulic lift is pretty dang cool.

Alot of (highway) miles for an '07... that front tire is toast.

That's what my wife would prefer, except the day rides would be all mine. B) She doesn't like to ride much anymore. She would just hold up and read. ;)

Mike I'm not single, but that is my dream retirement exploring this great country we live in on my FJR with a base camp! I'd even be hauling a little car for my wife unit to go explore in.

I am really scared to ride with some of these guys. I don't really care to try and meet anyone's expectations.

Oh well, won't let it scare me from going to NAFO.

I think the bike deserves a garage. I know they make motor barges with full garages in them. It should at least have a cover if it is not going to be ridden. It just doesn't seem to be fair to have it collect all that road grit if it isn't being ridden.

Let me give you some words of wisdom Panman: Talk is Cheap!!

Back on topic, I'm glad the side pic was added. I was trying to visualize driving the feejer up a ramp onto that carrier?

Noper-Not a Florida plate.........besides saw a curve the other day when I got off I-95. :p

I wasn't paying attention to the plate when we went by it, but I just zoomed the original image and could clearly make out the plate - Montana.

I'll second that! Looks like a ton 'O fun! I'd want my FJR in a trailer though. As for his situation and road grime, maybe he can afford a new one every year. :)
