I really need to get me a tank bag and would love to get one with Hydration built in like the Recon 19 by Rapid Transit. I called and talked to New Enough today and they said they don't expect to see any of the Rapid Transit bags until Mid September. I also want a magnetic bag. So my question is who makes a bag that has a place for hydration and is 19L or larger but not to excessive? Also I checked on some Coratec bags from New Enough and they said that tank bags are real hard to get ahold of right now from almost any company. The search continues...

Bike bandit just got a shipment in. Mine is on it's way to me now. Although the hydration pack is still on back-order.

I am in the middle of Sturgis, rode from Houston, TX - and I got mine here

I love it.. :)

I called both dealers above and they both stated they are back ordered until Sept 15th. So I did a google search and called about 10 other dealers and got the same thing. "Backordered" This sucks. Anyone know of any other bags with Hydration that is as good or better than the Rapid Transit bags for around the same amount of money?

I can't help with an alternative, but a big +1 to the RT 19l. I loves mine. Anyone noticed that a Zumo 550 fits in the front pocket perfect?

EBay: Item number: 130243731585 -

search for strapped, also.

Check out Dowco's Fastrax Elite here: https://www.dowcopowersports.com/products/m...m?item=50143-00
Same folks that make Guardian covers. The tank bag is magnetic and hydration pack ready (although costs extra, or use a bladder you already have). Got mine at MotoGP Laguna Seca for a good discount and they threw in the bladder and a m/c cover.

Same here but I got mine at the International show in San Mateo. It is a real nice bag.

I picked up my rapid transit in person from these peeps:

The Sports Center

114 2nd Ave SW Cullman, AL 35055

Phone: (256)734-7636 Fax : (256)739-3160

Email: [email protected]

The hydration bladder was included. Perhaps they would be willing to ship you one.

I will try this in the morning. If not looks like I will be going the Dowco Route. Looks like a nice bag "With" Hydration but no map window. Looks like an Ipod window only.

As far as the EBAY response. I have contacted ever seller on there about the Rapid Transit bags and none of them actually have them. All of them said they are backordered from there suppliers. So why even list them I asked.. Oh Well...

I just found a Canadian supplier with the Rapid Transit 19 in stock.

Clicky

Oh - and I picked mine up in person at Iron Pony. I didn't see it on their website, though, and I think it was the last one they had in stock. But, I did see one in stock locally at Hinds Motorsports <Hinds>.

Rather than settle for a bag you don't want, pick up a Camelback unit to hold you over. Last I checked, you could get one at Dicks Sporting Goods for around $30. Has come in handy for non-bike purposes, also.

Bike Bandit must have got a small order in, filled the back-order waiting list, and ran out again. Mine arrived today, but as I said before, I'm still waiting on the hydration bladder for it.

Good luck!

Why not use a regular tank bag with a water bladder in a thermal cool bag?.....better variation of uses then....

I finally broke down and bought a small Camelback. It made my life much easier on a recent trip across the Mojave (110F). I filled mine with ice and wore the backpack under my jacket. SO used a bladder only in the back armor pocket/inside. Wearing the backpack (very small one for runners) did not inhibit movement and really was not a hassle at all. Very convenient camping also. $20 at Big 5 Sporting goods right now.

I have a couple of different Camelback packs but need the Tank Bag for storage. I need one that I can use for hauling stuff from Fire Station to Fire Station on overtimes. I already have put on my Trunk and now just need the Tank Bag and I will be ready for full time commuting. :yahoo:

I just picked up a Nelson Rigg CL-350 Magnetic from New Enough. I figure I will run this bag until I can get me a Rapid Transit Stack LT then I will sell my Nelson Rigg. Who knows maybe I will find some way to put a bladder in it and just keep it. It looks like a decent bag and about $30-50 cheaper than the Rapid Transit bag...
