Since they changed the rear subframe does anyone know if the old wibur rear shock will fit the 06 fjr?
I can't speak for the Wilburs shock but the physical dimensions of the Gen1 and Gen2 ('06) FJR1300 OEM shocks are identical.

If you have the hydraulic preload option on your Wilburs, it's possible their installation of the adjuster is different on the '06 when compared to the Gen1 FJR. One thing for sure is the exhaust can hanger ('06)bolts at the subframe are a different distance apart than the passenger footpeg bracket /exhaust pipe hanger bolts (Gen1) where they are attached at the subframe. The '06 measurement is 60mm center to center and the Gen1 model is 77-78mm. I would say the shock will work without a problem, but you might have to fabricate a new bracket or modify the old bracket for the remote preload adjuster.

I'd contact the Wilburs rep and ask them if you have a doubt. :)
