Yes. You realize we call bikes by Gen 1 and Gen 2 for a reason don't you? Generation 1 bikes are from 2003-2005 and have interchangeable parts (with very few exceptions) and that Gen 2 bikes are 2006-present and are interchangeable (probably with a couple of obscure exceptions).

Even some Gen 1 and Gen 2 parts are interchangable.

This may sound like a dumb question, but is shield in the "low" position or did you raise it for the photograph? If the shield is lowered, it looks like it is as tall as a raised stock shield!
