Ok, I know I will get flamed but searching thru threads to find out peoples heights/windshield likes dislikes is too much. So here it goes. I am 6ft tall and when I put the stock windshield up for full body protection my head is in very turbulent air, seems I have to duck several inch's to get into clean air. So I was wondering what you 6 footers prefer for an a fter market wind screen. The two that have caught my eye are the givi with the little turned up edge and the C-bailies. Nay suggestions? Thanx in advance.

Here is just one topic I found using Google. There are plenty others. Try google using windscreens tall people site:fjrforum.com or such. Hope this helps?

Was that nice enough? B)

I'm 5'11" and tall torso'd. I have a Givi and like the results, but there is still wind turbulence, it's just not beating me around as much as with the stock screen. If you're thinking you want air like when you duck down, you will want a larger shield, probably the CalSci or V-stream. Hopefully people that have those will chime in on their experiences.

My goal was to get air off my shoulders more and reduce the buffeting, which the Givi does for me. I'm not looking for a "quiet pocket" of air like the Gold Wing.

Keep in mind that if you want a pocket of silence, you will most likely be looking thru the screen, not over it. You need to decide if that's something you can live with or not.

I'm 6' even have have the standard height V-Stream on my '06. I've also had the medium Cal-Sci. The V works best for me. I love it.

I'm 6' and have the Cal-Sci XL. The best position of the windshield is when the top edge is just under my vision of the road, but it can still go up further if the weather gets nasty so that I'm looking through the first two inches of the shield.

I got the XL after discussing it with Mark on the phone at Cal-Sci. My guess would have been the Large size, but you have to remember that the higher the shield goes, the further from your face it tilts. First of all, that looks gimpy being so upright. Secondly, it seems to allow more opportunity for wind buffetting when the shield gets further away.

90% wind buffeting gone with this product! :yahoo:

I'm 6'2" and I bought the cal-sci xxtall, the tallest one they make. I figured with the infinitely adjustable windshield I could position it just where I need it. All the way up I look through 3" to 4" of plastic, all the way down is OK for summer (a little warm) , but set so I can just see over it is absolutely quiet under normal conditions. Side winds, gusts, etc. can cause some buffetting. Overall this is a great windshield and Mark's help at Cal-Sci is second to none! I highly reccomend it. Jevers

I am 5'11" but ride with the seat in the full up position (technically makes me a 6 footer) I have a 2006 2nd gen FJR.

I have the Cee Baily +4" high & +1" wide with the flip and can say that this screen would do well for you. I can ride in clean air before it is up all the way. Actually on the highway I can ride in clean air and still look over the screen.

Bought it cheap on E bay.

The picture below illustrates the Cee Baily vs Stock.
