Did an auto retract disconect now will not go up or down. Thought you could still raise or lower windsheld by switch. Bike is an 05 any suggestions? :yahoo:

Take it off and don't worry about it....otherwise, there is a fuse box. Where the hell is tyler anyways?

Sprinkle some Viagra dust on it and it will go up, guaranteed. :p

I have not done this mod on my bike, but I know it does not affect the switch for up and down.

Chances are you disconnected the wrong connector. Have you read this?

henchman, thanks did read that, that's what got me started on it. Had tryed the old way and could never reach plug. Any how pulged it back up everything works again. Will try it again later today.

According to what I see in picture and looking at bike there is only one plug? :assassin:

:yahoo: Deep in the heart of the great state of TEXAS, rose capital of the world. As near to heaven as you can get on this side, where to birds sing, the grass is green, the water is pure, the deer and the anelope play and the skys are not cloudy all day.

According to map, it is 90 miles due east of Dallas on I20.

Tyler is near Longview...where I used to live!

Yes just one plug. It's the black wire jumper.

Thanks for all the advice. I just got around to finally disconnecting the auto retract on my 06. With the help of this forum (once again) I was able perform the task in about 15 minutes. Thanks guys.....without all of you I'd still be a ***** when it comes to this bike. Now do any of you know anything about boats?

Now do any of you know anything about boats?
Yes....don't buy one! Its far easier to rent and return.

Remember the oft repeated definition of a boat: A hole in the water you pour money into.

Kinda like my FJR: A hole in the garage.....etc., etc.

Hey Wade....

$11,000 in maintenance and repairs for one year like I had on my last boat ( Wellcraft...two 427 Chevy's ) will convince you to find something else to do.
