Windshield versus earplugs

Does anyone have a windshield on their fjr that lessens(eliminates) the need for earplugs and if so what is it? Thanx

I've got a Cee Bailey +4H +2w that greatly reduces all the noise. I suppose I could ride without earplugs, but I like a quiet ride, so I don't. And if I want to listen to music on my Skullcandy's, I don't have to turn up the volume much.

I'm 5'9" w/ 32 inseam.
