Looking for feedback on the use of a wedge to change the angle of the aftermarket windshields, which apparently eliminates turbulance.

It was noted that Skyway possibly made such a wedge.

Also, does it work with all windshields?

I've been happy with my Rifle Touring W/S which came with a tuning block. I'm 6'3" with a 34" inseam. My FJR is an 05 ABS & currently has 21K and I installed the W/S when I first got the bike in Aug. 04. Best of luck.

Skyway does have access to some spacers that will work with and improve the performance of most aftermarket screens.

I do have some spacers available, but the current design is for the 03-05 FJR. I have not yet had a look-see at the '06, duh, there were only a shed full all around me last weekend. (I will post a thread for them in the vendor section soon)

I will have to look at the '06 soon and see what I can come up with.

Off-topic - I am also working on 3(possibly 4) schweet new farkles right now for all model year FJR's. The input was provided to me from owners at WFO. And it will be some killer billet machined hardware, trust me.

I simply used steel washers to shim my Cee Bailey's screen under the bottom bracket. I only went about 3/16th of an inch. seems to work well, can't see them and best of all... ultra cheap!

Ditto on the washers. Although I used a 3/8" nylon spacer and then regular steel washers on both ends. While it did make it better, don't expect to "eliminate" the turbulance.

I would say our major issue is back pressure, once that is solved we should be good to go!

Any one got a shield/ mod that elimi  nates this?

I also used the nylon spacers. I might have to put them back on under the V stream to check back pressure.

Well even though I do not need stirups from out west, would still be happy to see what else you come up with
