Little cold now, but I'll be in the saddle this weekend when it's back into the 20s.

The weather here in central oregon has been so nice that yesterday I broke down and put the bike on the trailer for a half mile to the pavement and knocked off a 170 miles. When I was done I called my wife and she brought the trailer back and we loaded up for the half mile of ice back to the house. May do it again today with the other bike. :yahoo:

I feel for you. The only question is, what does 30 below really feel like. It's been since 68 since we've seen much below zero. jr

There are some who don't believe in a "riding season", and leave bragging about the weather to the left coast, juniorfjr.

If you'd really like to know, I rode about 1800 miles this week. The riding is great these days, as it is every day.

Take a flight into Newark, and I'll lend you a bike.

+1

I was driving through Columbus (OH) Monday and I saw a motorcycle cop leading a funeral procession on the interstate. It was 1 degree at the time. He's my hero!

Ryan, If I am ever over on your side, I will take you up on it. :yahoo:
Sounds good. I assume you'll want to ride the FJR.

The BMW is slow, handles poorly, has lousy brakes, and uses more gas. Amazing what you can find for half the price....

Gee, I didn't think I was bragging...

Yeah it reached 24F today, I'll have to go out for an hour when it hits 32F, maybe Sat or Sun. Been 2 weeks, going through withdrawel. Have to mount the VStream & see how it compares to the CalSci Tall. Guess I'll have to check tire pressure too before I go for a ride...

Coldest I've been out riding is 30 degrees.

When you ride in 20F or below do you occasionally have to stop and thaw-out the air in the tires? :D

Was a warm 24 degrees today so I was able to ride my Shadow to work and pickup the new FJR battery at the stealership....tomorrow I have to go retrieve the Beast from the parking lot where she has been stranded since Monday when her battery died on me at work (it was 3 degrees outside).

Guess I will trailer her home and work on her in the garage, I really dont feel like peeling the tupperware off in 24 degree weather, besides, she has a good 1-2 inches of snow on her. :(
