Wondering about an Aprilia RSV 1000R

This may be the wrong question for this group but I find myself lusting after an Aprilia RSV 1000R. Here in Seattle, the prices on a new 2007 are pretty darned low. I've read all about them but never ridden or owned one. Anyone out there own one, have a buddy that does, or otherwise have an informed opinion about the bike? I'm not thinking about replacing the FJR, but possibly my very farkled Suzuki SV1000S. Four or five track days a year plus general back road silliness is the point.

I came quite close to buying a Futura, but the shear exoticness was too much for me.

There is a very hopped up RSV at a friend of mine's - Highland Cycle in Montrose, CO. I don't know anything about it except it was some kind of special version and I think it has about 3,000 miles. PM me for contact info if interested.
