Damn that race 2 in world was a nail biter. Hats off to Haga, he had a hell of a second race. What a great series, as much as I like Moto GP it does seem WSBK has the closest racing.

I was wondering when someone was going to mention the championships had all been determined. :)

Nice season for Yamaha, I'd think... On top of those they got French and British SB titles and the only person Josh Hayes can't beat almost every weekend retired. I heard the French title was on an '08 R1, but I don't think it's the biggest deal out of all the national series. :)

I'm super extra stoked to see Ben wallop the world in his first try, it really goes to show that the AMA series (at least up to the '08 season.... ) is a serious series; and just how much of a sandbagger Mladin really was. :D If there is/are any god(s) in this world, Haga will clinch the title next year with 4 weekends remaining. Damn, the guy freaking deserves it already.

I wouldn't count on Ben setting the world on fire year 1. A few top 5s, maybe a few podiums, depends on the package they give him.

Early prediction says Fabrizio is the top duc next year. Look out for Crutchlow...very impressive at post season testing on the R1.

Oh, yeah. I'll be rooting in Haga's corner next year. I hope he finally gets one.

Ben vs. Colin on those "Team Texas" Yamahas is going to be very interesting. I'm really looking forward to that.

Ben's still racing this season's final MotoGP race in Valencia, right?

That's exactly what I'm thinking, but IMO that'd be a good gauge of Colin being faster than most armchair GPers give him credit for. I don't know which one will be faster but I expect them to be close (at least at first). Since Spies came in as a rookie and won a world title I think he's now officially "taken seriously" as an International Fast Guy. What stems this whole diatribe from me is that I've seen a lot of people bashing CEII with "he's never won a race," "why is he even in GP," etc. when he's shown himself to be consistently faster than everyone but the four "aliens" whom we mere mortals can't even understand. It just bugs me when there are 14 people on the grid who can't podium unless it's raining and two of the four aliens are out and people bash one of them as being undeserving of a GP seat.

I have to laugh when I hear someone say that he is 'undeserving'. Who are they to judge? It's simple - racing is a business. If CEII wasn't bringing value to the team/organization, he wouldn't be there - just ask JT. What Colin brings to the team is much deeper than just his results on race day.
