Let me clarrify.

I have a set of fork tubes - from the wrecked '09. Internals pulled to be swapped into the new '09's forks. I have the gutted fork tubs and lowers now. The internals from the new '09 will be dumped this weekend and are stock OEM (cartridges and springs).

Interested?

EM:

I have a Gen 3 with the weirdo one legged fork arrangement. I want to go with an upgrade but, it looks like it may be a while before that’s available. Plus, when an upgrade is available I’d need to down the bike while the original forks are in transit. My thinking was that if somebody has a pair of rebuildable Gen 2 tubes they’d part with for a reasonable sum I could have those drop shipped right to Racetech or KFG for the upgrade and then to me. That way, I wouldn’t have bike benched while the swap takes place and won’t have to wait for the Gen 3 fix to become available.

Are we on the same page?

Thanks.

How much you want for the forks?

PM Sent to ahchiu, didn't see the response for AKjitsu, sorry.

AKjitsu - I see your point, down time = bad.

Two parties interested; I just want the parts out of the garage. I think $300 is fair, as I noted to ahchiu in the PM, plus shipping - WA or AZ, too far for me to eat the shipping.

** disclaimer - I'm not saying this to be a ****, but rather keep from being dicked over & I want to be perfectly clear - the fork tubes and lowers were ON the '09 that was CRASHED in October. They have no visible damage, and both slide freely - The bike was hit by a van in the rear section which seared off the rear sub frame. Based on what I saw during and immediatly after the accident, the bike was on each side, but did not tumble end for end (that would have folded the forks like pretzels I think). The forks looked straight on the bike prior to dis-assembly and appear to be in good working condition now. However, I make no guarantee and they are sold AS IS. No returns, no bitching because they need this or that. The internals have been removed and are pending install in the new '09's forks. I will have the stock internals from the new '09 to go with the tubes and sliders of the old bike.

Hopefully, I didn't just talk myself out of a sale, but I want to make sure everyone is aware of that is for sale.

Thanks,

Wayne

here's a photobucket album with pictures of the forks.

I could find no marks on the forks from impact of the crash. They look straight when looking down from the top along the tube.
