New member, and I'll admit, joined solely in my search for a lightly used ES, hopefully somewhere in the Midwest.

Dumped and totaled out my pride and joy, a 2007 FZ1 purchased in '08. Spent the last 7 years modding, countless hours on the wrench, mostly in an effort to reshape her into a sport-tourer. As much as I may miss her, I know she was never built for it, and I'd be better off purchasing a more purpose built machine....enter the FJR.

I'm honestly quite torn at this point considering how cheaply I can get into a late model Concours with low milage... THEY'RE EVERYWHERE.

After riding both I'm convinced that I know what I want. As the way things go, and if I can't find an ES before end of season this year, I'll likely pick up a Kawi just to carry me through till next year.

Going for broke at this point. Mind is made on the ES. Message me or mail me directly: [email protected]

Mid-Ohio.com, my local dealer website has a 2015 ES with 410 miles and balance of factory warranty listed for $13,495. They were trying to get me to trade up from my 2013.

Just the "valve adjustments" from an FJR to a C14 would keep me from buying the Kawasaki!

As posted in New Members section:

Welcome to the Forum, H19HSP33D. Ummmm, don't buy a Concours, or you'll regret it from the first mile. Trust me on that.

As for a lightly used FJR ES, I'll sell you mine for $25,000. It's a 2015, dropped it only three times in parking lots, once in central Florida at 25 mph, and it has just 15,500 miles on it. Got an empty dashboard, Pelican top box, bar risers, .....

Never mind. I need it to go to Banner Elk this weekend with Harley buddies, and to go to Hooterville next weekend. Sorry, man.

Keep an eye on the "for sale" sub-forum, and remember that the 2016 model will be out in a month or so, and the 2015s will be significantly reduced in price.

Except mine. I'm keeping her.

There's a 14ES for $11,500 in Clearwater with only 1500 miles check Tampa Craigslist. I discussed with the prior owner before he traded for a wave runner. Perfect fly n buy. Many airports in Midwest fly to Clearwater via Allegiant Air for cheap.

Good luck with search.

Corey
