Do you think they would fit on an '08? Also see you did the V-Storm hand guard update. Any issues with them hitting your wind sheild? I've got a Rifle on my ride and need to "mod" the lower corners of the plexi in order to clear the guards to lock the bike.

You've already been answered about the 08 question. I've got a Cal-Sci medium on for a windshield and one handguard DOES hit it... well, nudge it slightly.. only when turning full right lock. Left lock clears by about a 1/4".

More importantly is WHY I went to the FZ1 mirrors. On a Gen1, the VStrom guards block about a quarter of the most usable portion of the stock mirrors. That on a daily basis to me is unacceptable; but not enough to ditch the guards lol!

Nevermind when I throw my camping gear on the pillion seat, I can't see **** behind me with the stock mirrors.

Warning, you need to get OEM FZ1 mirrors, the cheap ones on e-bay will vibrate and they don't fold in like OEM, you won't be happy

I got mine (OEM) at mrcycles about $50 each a couple years back.

You can also go to the FZ1 fourm and look for mirrors, that's where I got mine.
