I'll be damned if I didn't finnaly drop my '07 after 22 months. Came off my driveway off camber, and it went to the outside. My legs were just to damn short to catch it. It fell soft, but scraped up the mirror pritty good. That's the only dammage I can see past some super minor, almost inperceptable, scrapes on the right can.

So, any of you out there that have moved to the R1 mirrors feel like parting with an undammaged right mirror in Black Cherry?

For the price of a single OE mirror, you could get a pair of the FZ1 mirrors and be able to see stuff behind you more than your elbows. Seems like a perfect time to upgrade!

It's only happened once in 2 years Don Sheesh

I've never had a problem seeing what's behind me using the stock mirrors. I also need to retain the ability to fold the mirrors forward to get the bike into my yard for maint. and foul weather cover.

The FZ1 do fold back.

Yep. Way back. Looks like a bad dog with it's ears down.

:p

Silent, I feel your pain. I dropped my 07 in a parking lot and scraped the RH mirror housing. :angry2: The bag took some minor damage, not bad though. And ******* me, I had (and still have) sliders sitting my garage just waiting to be installed. I thought I will leave the damaged mirror on just as a reminder...

Thankfully my bags were off, and my slider took all but a small portion of the dammage. My Garauld mount for my FF50 is bent a bit, but I should be able to tweek it back when I replace the mirror. This is the same slider that protected my fairings when the tour buss knocked it over in April of '07 so I guess they paid for themselves twice over now.

Don't feel too bad. The sliders won't protect either your mirror or your bag.

*BUMP*

Still looking. I'm starting to think I'm gonna be forced to buy new
