This forum is to discuss the Yamaha FJR1300 and the issues surrounding the FJR1300 community.
Here Here! :clapping:
https://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/178100.html Oh for Petey's sake Wheatie, that saying is Hear Hear: NOT Here Here! Did you happen to go to the same High School as HotRodZilla, for crying out loud!
You know we've fallen very far from grace when Beemerdons is giving English lessons. Holy ****! That's like the stupid leading the blind.

Fixed.

Here I go again. What the hell was wrong with the OP's post? Anybody?

Somebody--TWO of you, in fact--decided to "minus" his post. Why? Guy's been on the forum for two months, and his "rep" is now at minus two. (I left it alone and didn't nullify one of them to bring it "up" to -1, something I often do, just so you could all see the ugly red "-2" below the post.) I've seen quite a few of these really pointless and ******** negative votes around here lately, and it just pisses me off that somebody can anonymously sucker-punch some fairly innocuous post like this one. I wish the forum would get rid of this damn feature. :angry2:
+1 Saw that the first time thru too...

Edit: Sorry, late to the party

To answer the OP's actual question, many of the HD riders "invest" in their bikes, they don't buy them. Miles reduce the value, right? The goal is to have a 12-year-old bike with with an odometer that reads like my ex-wife's weekly paycheck.

. Is this lack of wanting to ride an HD thing or what? Why would you spend so much on a bike and not want to ride? Just askin, seems weird to me.
One word, Silver.

(It's "spensive" to replace.)

Mikey,

You need to give yourself more credit. You always bemoan the fact that you aren't very "puter" literate. You post I'm sure educated some members as how to run up (or down) someone's reputation score. Now, I'm going out on a limb here, but I'll guess that score and a $1.65 will get you a cup of coffee at S'bucks!

I've always found the easiest way to determine if a guy is a bar hopping biker is to look and see if the trailer he uses to trailer the bike around has about 10 times more miles on it than the bike does...
Trailers have odometers?

no, no... it was a joke... sorry you didn't get it.
Don't quit your day job, I hear standup is tough.
yes I've heard that too, seems you can have some in the audience that are just complete a-holes...

We have lots of bar hoppers in northern Illinois. You ride the main streets of the little towns and every bar has atleast a couple of HDs in front of it.

Now not every HD rider is like that...but almost everyone around me is that way...so it's hard not to generalize sometimes.

However, I generally don't get into pecker measuring contests. I'm not into the "I'm better than you" kind of thing. As long as they aren't running in packs of 15 at 5 below the limit, nuts to butts, then I won't be pissed at them.

However, if they are going to be so inconsiderate as to block the public roads like that...then I get kinda impatient and it's best not to do what I do.
Let me tell you about riding in the Black Hills anytime close to the beginning of August.

I have passed caravans of dozens, and I have to admit I didn't think you could ride a bike through curves without leaning it, but these guys do consistently prove me wrong.

On the other hand, I know this nutjob on a Sportster...
On come on that is not true, most of them stop and look both ways before going through the corner and then trying to keep you from passing. We call it learners week out here.
