Yamaha FJR Frame Sliders

I have ordered Canyon Cages. However, has anyone had any experience with the Yamaha Frame Sliders?

I have the Yamaha Frame Sliders on my 13 and like them. I thought they were a little over priced for what you get but they look great and went on easy. They do require a little bit of plastic trimming that I was able to do it with a rotary tool with out removing the faring. If your wondering, I have not tested them yet.

They look good but do they protect the fairing? Do they give any protection to the panniers?

My old st1300 had a similar frame slider as standard and it protected the panniers as well as the fairing.
