Hey guys!

Do ya think Yamaha will ever build the FJR in a brighter color, say their Shift Metalic Red It's as red as their beautiful earlier model's blue is blue?

I've been waiting what seems like forever and have seen pictures of them from Europe but I'm thinking of trading my FZ1 fairly soon and if there is even the slightest chance they might release one to the US for 09 or 10 I'd be willing to hold out 'til then.

Maybe Mama Yama is listening and knows they could sell at least a few here. We've been asking for it for years!

:dribble:

I'd like to see an FJR in the "pissed-off hornet" paint scheme of the '08 R6. It'd make the FJR look like a bumble bee!

Anyone checked out page 44 in the latest Cycle World ?? :dribble:
Yes, the March issue? I must have missed something!

...and tell me why the FJR in your avatar is the same color as the one I want and can not buy? :glare:

Can you post up a full size pic or link?

Thanks,

Roger

Don't worry about it, next year's model will be a totally new bike; the FJR 1401.

The windshield will not only go up and down, but the sides will unfold to make it wider too. There will be a convertible seat, so the bike normally rides solo with a flat rear area to tie down additional soft bags or a briefcase, but will also convert to take a pillion. GPS and comm gear built in, keyless ignition, cruise control, and a factory-installed fuse block for rider add-ons. What I really like is how the color will change with the light it's seen in. No more silver, or blue, or black. Wish it didn't ahve those huge mufflers, but the gas mileage is going up to just under 60 mpg, too!

You are going to get red of that sweet FZ after all the work you've done?
The FZ1 is a great bike, but when I'm on it I feel pressure to ride it 10/10ths. It loves to go fast, but that makes it harder for me to just get out and take it easy. Good chance I'll change my riding style into the cruise mode, but eventually I want a new FJR in RED !!!

This bike trade is not a done deal yet, but I got an offer on it that's going to be hard to turn down. I'd like to have one of each bike made, but that lottery thing just isn't working out for me so far.

Yeah, that's what I said last year! :angry2: In RED for pete's sake! ...and so I wait.

hehe The color of His FJR in His avatar is the color of the one I just bought... I traded in an 07 R6 the color of the R1 in the picture interesting. The R6 by the way was a reject, I not happy with it at all!!!!!!!.

funny thing reading this thread tonight. I watched the Pixar movie CARS yesterday with my son and the leading character, a Nascar called McQueen, was the most beautiful shade of red. My first thoughts were - man that would look good on a feejer!
