Would anyone be interested in seeing the resurection of the Transatlantic Trophy races?

It has been raised on the British Superbike forum and the answer is almost unanimously yes.

For those who don't remember it....It was held over Easter. (Admitedly all at British circuits). On Saturday a round at Brands Hatch, Sunday at Mallory Park, and then on Monday at Oulton Park.

The format was simple Yanks V Brits. We gave you a good spanking in the early days, but your lads wern't that much into road racing then (early 70's)

As the years passed the boot changed to the other foot and America dominated to the extent that we had to draft in other commonwealth riders. (Australians etc.)

It was superb racing held at 3 different venues over a weekend.

Do you remember it?

Would you like to see it re-kindled?

Yeah, but it should be at Barber, VIR and Road Atlanta. ;)
In fairness it should be held on both sides of the pond. Maybe 3 rounds here & 3 there through the season. That would then mean that already stretched race budgets would have to fund a trans atlantic crossing which would probably make it unrealistic.

And when you guys have sorted out amongst yourselves who is the best of the rest, you can challenge us Aussies - a couple of Troys, add in a Mladin, a Casey, a Chris - the list goes on .....
