Went by Eastside today, they worked with me on a solid deal, so the cheque gets delivered tomorrow and the bike comes home tomorrow or Thursday, depending when I have time.

2009 A - black on black on black...like there was a different combo. What makes mine unique? ... sweet f*ck all at this point ...though I did put all the miles on it to date. :) ... on my test ride.

Started eyeballing the garage this evening to decide where the compost and recycling bins were moving to...because we all know what's taking over THAT space before the long weekend!

Might go for a ride this weekend too - to spend some time getting to know the new wheels. We'll see if time allows for it.

I have to say, the folks at Eastside were fantastic to deal with. :)

Well, la-di-da.............good for you. But, I waited about two weeks before I told the "forum" about it. I wanted it to be a "special" moment.

Congrats!! :yahoo: You're gonna love it.

Might? Huh?

Are you a human?

Congratulations! Enjoy the bike -- I sure have!

Congrats on the new skoot! :yahoo:

And it looks like you'll even be able to enjoy that beautiful black color for a while before the rains hit again. Forecast calls for almost 90 on friday!

Be careful you might get a boner when you take the new gal out for a extended spin...

Alfred :dribble:

I liked working with Eastside MotoSports, got me the deal and the bike I wanted. I bought my AE this last January there.

See you around Redmond ;-)

This is a special time for you and the new scoot. Be sure you allow ample time to bond. The future relationship between you and the FJR is determined in the first three months of your time together. Screw up now and the bike will be impossible to deal with later. ;)

Heck yeah - I WANT to ride, but haver some errands to run, shopping to do, might even need to do some more house hunting... all with my wife, so we take the car for now. ;)

otherwise, I ned to spend time this weekend on a book I'm writing, which I've been neglecting and is due next month at the publisher, so I sort of need to contain my riding a bit until life settles down a smigde.

Now, some other responses beg... responses...

Apologies for SkooterG knowing you...
... though I have no idea who SkooterG is... ;)

... sounds like a reasonable, balanced approach. I'll know when I've gone too far when either a shoe (from my wife) hits me, or a food bowl (from my dog)...

... surely - this is going to be my commuting vehicle, so I'll be around for sure. Redmond, Bellevue (office moves there in 3 weeks) and potentially Sammamish as we're considering renting a house there. :)

... riiiiight..... *whistles and quickly walks away* ;)

Less than one hour and I get my grubby mits on the bike. Might do some shopping there while I'm at it - new jacket, pants, order a top-case maybe, etc... :)

Can't wait...

As a lowly FNG (who still can't even figure-out how why my profile pic doesn't show-up under my name), I feel a little stupid welcoming a training pilot to the group... So what the deal sportsguy? Not your first FJR?

Whatever the case may be, congrats on your new '09!

And I agree with Fred.... shopping? Errands? <_<

Bed bath & beyond will still be there next week. Throw the wifey on the back and get some break-in out of the way. Just my 2 bits (which admittedly isn't worth as much 2 bits in USD).
