Well, if you got the $389.00 the above is the ticket.
I however opted not to buy the extended warrenty, and considering all the bikes and cars I have owned that never had any problems, and the money I saved by not getting an extended warrenty... I'd say I have come out ahead on the deal.
The Gen II FJR seems fairly bullit proof, and no real issures other then stuff covered under that first year warrenty have been reported.
If something does go wrong...I just figure that money I saved from not buying the extended warrenties over all these years will likely be more than adaquete to cover the costs needed.
Paying money for this is to me is simply gambling... unless your lucky, or is it unlucky? You'll never need what your paying for..........
So, gamble or not, it's up to you......
Then I guess I am lucky. I've got an 06 just like yours and my starter switch went bad while I was on tha road. I am sure that the entire ordeal would have been 500 bucks but I had the warranty and got away clean.
My take is that warranties usually cost too much but there is a point in which iffin they get low enough, then it's a nobrainer. 400.00? my buddy up in Rochester, NY just traided off his chevy truck because he was spending 250.00 a week for gas.
