 I was just wandering through the board today and noticed a group of you that will be riding through Yosemite and Mammoth Mountain on June 2nd.

Hope you all have a safe and great ride.

I didn't want to hijack your thread so that is why I'm starting this one.

As Yosemite is one of many areas I will be riding through on my 4,500-5,000 mile ride starting June 5th, can any of you that are familar with the area give me a clue as to the best areas and time of day to catch some really nice photos of El Capitan, Half Dome, Bridalveil Falls, Glacier Point, Yosemite Falls, etc., etc. so the sun is to my back or any special turnouts that give you good views of the Yosemite Valley?

Thanks for your time and consideration.

Scott

El Capitan, probably shooting east from the tunnel overlook or north from the valley floor.

half dome...same direction

Bridevail.. shooting south from valley floor

Glacier..shooting north from the overlook..good for sunset pics.... must be included in the trip no matter what time of day,... never to be forgotten view.

Yosemite Falls..shooting north from the valley floor

That's not including the Tioga pass stuff..... Tuolumne Meadows, Lake Tenaya, many granite outcroppings / roadside waterfalls and views to the valley on the way down Tioga pass.

From either the north or south entrance it's an hour to the valley floor, a lot more from the east entrance so plan accordingly. Ranger's run radar full time so beware !!
