Hey Jim.... Not to make you drool or anything.

Miller sports park will let you ride on the track too.

Coming in from out of town?? I will help logistics too. We have some GREAT Roads here as well if you want to go for a ride!

Go here

I did this last year.................. I posted about it here...... Man, What fun...

Many asked me to let them know when it was coming up again.

Basically it is 8- 30 Minute sessions on the track with 8 - 30 minute session between with an instructor that followed me (you) for the 30 minute track session. There were NO!!!! mods to my bike required. Not even the coolant. Taking my bags off was even optional. 295 Bucks. and that includes lunch!!

Hey Dawwwg,

Do you know what kind of riding gear is required?

Can you use any kind of riding suit and boots or is something specifically called out?

Hey Lake,

When I did my track day last summer (with NESBA), the only requirement was a suit that zipped together. I had to replace my Aerostich darien pants with roadcrafter 'cause they have the matching zipper for the roadcrafter jacket. Of course, I was the only one there that day with a textile suit (over a hundred riders ) but I still felt secure enough. Also, I wore my combat lites and some good gloves (carbon fiber knuckle type).

Also, for grins, I safety wired my drain plug, filler and filter.

Cdog, what great timing! Now, I can continue to be lazy. :) My boss had asked me to post this on the forum (He's in charge of the instructors for this). I'll be talking with him this weekend and can ask him about the suit thing for you LP. I'm thinking about doing this as well, but haven't made a final decision.

The suit requirements are pretty simple.... Lemme go look to be sure. It is Definatly ATGATT but no super duper gear needed.. BRB. I will go find out.

Here is the info.

A full-face helmet.

A motorcycle specific riding jacket.

Over the ankle, solid footwear.

Motorcycle specific, full finger gloves.

Tires in new or near new condition.

A motorcycle in good operating condition. (All motorcycles will be required to pass a tech. inspection).

Miller Motorsports Park has granted the UtahSBA a special waiver allowing Sport Touring motorcycles to access the track with glycol based coolant. ST-ART Participants do not need to replace traditional coolant with Water-Wetter or similar product

All I did was was wear my street riding gear. Alot of Olympia type gear was around....

The above info was "Cut and Paste" from the 2nd link in my first post.

I cannot say enough about the instructors and other people there. I learned more than I can describe and it was easily one of the funnest things I have ever done.

I was railing hard on my bike last time. This time. I am gonna slow down a bit and work on becoming very precise and smooth (I bet the instructors reading this are glad too, I was a loose cannon last time without the proper skills)

ANything else I can help with lemme know. Lodging Arrangements, I have a garage and tools. I can change tires in my garage and balance them just fine for any longhaulers out there that want fresh rubber.

Last year I was on Pilot Powers. I made a mess out of the tires edges (the torque in the FJR coming out of corners) but I did not go through a whole set.

For the 300 bucks to get on the track....... THis is 100% the most fun you can have with your clothes on......
