Mine are all grown and gone, sure do miss them. One of the two youngest turned 30 in the spring and getting married in a couple weeks.

Wow. You got old phast Hans!
I was thinking that this ties to his thread on wearing the appropriate riding gear. When he was at the stop light next to the girl on the scooter and he was thinking that she was not dressed correctly, she was probably thinking that ... Look at that old codger dressed up in all that heavy riding gear... I bet he falls a lot. Must be tough to ride with a full face helmet with dentures. And as she sped off she thought to herself that by the time she was his age, she would have had a graduate degree from either Stanford or USC and be driving a new Porsche to work!

Thanks for sharing. In a couple of weeks my youngest (also a daughter) will be heading off to college. This leaves just the two of us. The time passes quickly.

Many of us can relate to this.

"My girl" is now 40-something

But you never actually lose them. Got a phone-call last night, "Dad, my front door won't lock. Can you come round tomorrow and look at it?"

Went round this-morning, fixed it. She's always bragged about me, "I can twist him round my little finger".

I suppose it was an excuse to get the bike out.

My daughter is 23. Graduated college, leased apartment, and is starting her career this week (school teacher). Kids' head is spinning faster than a top.

Sometimes it's hard to watch from the front row, but I'm enjoying it none the less.

My oldest turned 25 in March and is working for the Army Corps. She sent this picture yesterday captioned "All in a days work" taken somewhere in the eastern part of Germany - one of the projects she is working on is the design and construction of a Humvee driver training obstacle course.
