Pure music. Was that John Hopkins, or maybe Anthony West? I saw where West was a bit faster than Hopkins in the practice run in Portugal.

Hard to tell. Yep - he was a few ticks faster.

Read that the Screamer engine was at a post-Jerez test and they are on the regular bikes for this race.

You just get a glimpse at the number -- and it looks more like 13 than 21, so I'm guessing that was West. Isn't Olivier Jacques doing testing for them, though? It could have been him.

What a sound, though. Wow.

It was West. Our commentary team mentioned it on the practice coverage. They also said it was still under test and didn't give a date for it to hit the track.

Couple of snippets from today's free practice.

Toseland still on anti biotics. Says he is fine but still cannot breath properly and sounds like he's been smoking carpet.

First free practice full wet. (AM)

Second free practice dry. (PM) First lap crashers Stoner, Toseland, Dovizioso.

Stoner contunued to look pissed off continuing to struggle.

Rossi looking better.

Edwards looked fast and held pole for 20 minutes.

Edwards and Toseland now on hydraulic valves, same engine as Rossi & Lorenzo.

Lorenzo didn't feature much at all.

The Honda hydraulic valve engine now ready and very fast just not producing power at a manageable rate.

Pedrossa looked good again and has to be favourite for the win.

Mid session Dovizioso blew up on the front straight and had to go to hospital after collecting a boot full of hot oil from the engine....nasty.EDIT It was Tony Elias and it was metal fragments not oil.Podium for Edwards I reckon this week. JT only 13th but first time at the track and still ill.
