Out for a ride on a beautiful afternoon yesterday with the wife. Some one passes me on the left hand turn lane on a three lane highway. (Centre Lane is for left and right turns either direction). Yes I did see it coming out of the rear view and was ready for a bail out (right), if necessary. Let it go, (*****) :angry2: We catch up to the same cager a few miles up and I decide to go for the pass. I pull out on the throttle fully expecting driver to do something stupid again and guess what, at the last second he pulls out infront of me :angry2: Ok I've been driving for 20 years and usually I would just let it go agian... not this time. I decide it's time to follow and at least get the licence # make and model and report it to the proper authorities. Nope ... still to pissed off. 20 minutes later of following at a safe distance with mulitiple turns figuring at any minute he might be smart enough to head for the gravel to shake me. We end up in a small rual community and guess what kid under 20 with various piercings hopes out of the car and starts to head for the door. The wife started with the ... do you have any idea why we might be following you home etc. Kids reply is: " You could pass me at anytime with that bike.. whats your problem ?" Yes I wanted to slug him but me going to jail for a "minor assault" would have made the day worse so I tried reasoning with him. Pointed out what might happen to his already high insurance rate if he had taken us out. Left him with the thought to expect a visit from the OPP anyway. Dad or brother came out with the ... get the _uck off my property now routine. OK time to go wifey. Ok, I'll open it up.. how many think I should call in the cops. I think letting him believe they might be on there way is better punishment than actually doing it. Yup still have all the important info when needed. Not a problem finding the same address either.

What are the cops gonna do?

Nothing.

No law against being an *****, unfortunately.

The most you could prob go for is an illegal turn, but a good lawyer would come back on you with road rage for following him home. Next time, show them you CAN pass at any time and show them the social finger should you desire. Anything elese is wasted breath and high blood pressure.

You opened it up so I'll give you my honest opinion. Following a person all the way home because they did something stupid while driving is understandably obsessive. However, while being understandable, it's still the wrong thing to do. What if he was so scared he cell phoned ahead and his bro was waiting with a gun? Then you'd be dead, but you could prosecute.

Ride away from bad situations with the knowledge that you are having more fun than anyone else. Don't get involved with *** for tat while riding. It can end up really ugly really fast.

Next time pass him and toss a cow in his path.

Here is yet another of my converts...ready to toss the cow at the first offender

I'm starting to come to the conclusion that having "cow" is quite possibly the cure for all that ails you. Do a bro a favor, could you fed-ex me a hereford?

Good reason to carry a mini-mac. Don't waste your time with the cops. The won't or can't do a damn thing.

If a motorcyclist followed me home, cruised onto my property, and they started lecturing me, he'd be on the ground in about 1/2 second with a 9 in his nose.

And I'm obviously a motorcyclist.

One stupid act, followed by a second (premeditated, continuous) act, does not make you "right". It just makes you stupid LONGER than the other guy.

Man, watch me stay out of this thread.

I don't know what a 9 is, but if those pictures Silver Penguin has been posting up are any indication, I definitely don't want one of those in my nose.

I didn't even check the profile, but something tells me this is an incident in Canada. So while getting shot is a little more remote, you could have been slap-shot to death with a ******* hockey stick. Following someone home is beyond obsessive. I wouldn't even consider it in Texas.

Just pass his dumb *** and go on. And be prepared for sustained triple-digits, in case HE gets out of control. I don't underestimte road rage. Lot of crazy ******** on the road. Besides me, I mean.

Andre I think that is the silliest ******* thing I have heard you say....Clearly you have no respect for others and definetly no patients. At least hear the man out then kick him the **** off your patch of dirt if you don't like his opinions.

I had a punk kid do something similar in my neighborhood a few years back, as I was moving my son's FJ40 around, so I followed him a half-block or so home and gave him a stern talking to. It made me feel better, but didn't do much for him, as I learned later that his mother let him borrow her car while his license was suspended, and he killed a pedestrian while he had it. His rich parents probably got him off the hook for that as well.

Rewarded apathy is the worst kind. Almost as bad as enabled ******* teenage astronauts.

Well then Ari, if not your nose, then where?

:p

IMHO, until they crash into me, the cagers are always right, at least they'll always win.

I just let it go, it's not worth it.

Just think of it as an opportunity to practice patience and tolerance.

You can't win an argument with an *****. Treat him as a moving obstacle and avoid him. Don't let your emotions get in the way.

Following someone home while having road rage? That's scary. Find a good church my friend. PM. <>< :D

Maybe he was just f*cking with a guy, who quite possibly is a troll as it is only his 2nd post here.
