So, per the purchase deal, I FINALLY got Zoe her new replacement rear fender. Who can point out the most issues with the below picture of her new beautiful rear?

Already explained her racing stripe, I could use a new helmet (actually can't figure out a good place to put the damn thing on this bike as jacket goes in left case and rain gear, toolkit, emergency kit goes in right case), the top case is in the garage, the GPS is in the side case, the traffic cones are what they use to mark off motorcycle parking only, I WISH I was riding...

Bingo on the last two.

And isn't there a light or something under the rear tailights and over the license plate? What goes in that gap there...?

nice set of scratches on the left side case.
Nope, just dust.

Wow. When I got home from work I took a closer look. This guy didnt do a very good job putting her back together at all. The top panel right behind the rear seat isnt lined up right or something as there is a gap where the three panel pieces come together... and the housing around the rear tail light isnt in correctly. There are tabs sticking out which should have made it OBVIOUS that it isnt seated correctly.

Not impressed... I suppose I shouldnt be surprised but dang it.

Going to see if I can get down there at lunch to provide some "constructive criticism" to the service manager...

Spoke with the "assistant service manager" (not sure if that is actually his title but he was the guy that was running the desk when I came in initially). He was not happy with what he saw on the bike and I heard him muttering under his breath about the mechanic who worked on the bike. He asked if I could stay and they would fix it but I had to get back to work. Told him I would fix it myself over the weekend but that I wanted to talk to the service manager (who wasnt in).

Two additional f*ck ups discovered yesterday... the tank panel that wasnt seated correctly also has a plastic tit broken off on the right side where it connects to a rubber grommet and the rubber straps under the rear seat arent installed and the screws or bolts to attach them are missing.

Cleaned her up a bit last night and started work on disassembling the tail to fix what I could. Discovered that the reason the body panel has a gap is that there is a little plastic tab broken off that as well. Stopped work when I saw that as it doesnt make sense to disassemble it just so they can do it again to replace the part.

SO... I'm going to call today and see if I can speak to the service manager. Might go down there again today but it is likely to get pretty nasty out today. I also still need to take the kids mother's day shopping...

Also ordered the pieces that I need for the tail (license plate light, reflector, and license plate bracket). They gave them to me at cost (which is what I agreed to for the tail during the purchase).
