Holey Moley!!

Wait until he gets the bill for the emergency services and the helicopter ride. BTDT.

Things sure happen quickly don't they. It doesn't look like you guys are riding THAT fast, just nice and comfortable....then....Wham! Pavement...sky...pavement...sky...

Thankfully he is not seriously injured but he'll be sore tomorrow and Monday.

Thanks for posting, Jeff.

Glad he's OK.

You're right Jeff, that is one wild ride out of the canyon, and expensive too.

Saw the helmet inside and the white showing, his helmet is spent. It did it's job well saving his head. He needed full leathers though.

We just got back from our Big Bear ride and encountered many rocks of various sizes on the roads, that is scary stuff.

So what did he hit? I don't get it. Was it a small rock? I've Helo'ed from an MX race.. no fee, CHP.. Maybe your bud will be lucky too...

Jeff - great video bud.. You continually exceed expectations!

He refused the ride.....They told him it was on the county...WTF... Cool ride out. He said it sucked cause all he could see was the roof of the helo...

I just left hospital and hes up ans around, Nothing broke or torn just sore. they will keep him over night since he hit his head...

Nice big rock in the shadows, it was about the size of a softball sharp and jagged

I think some people may feel that riding freeways in rush-hour traffic close to cars is scary and dangerous. I feel that way about going out on the twisties, which I do do  and love to do like many others. But I think there are many more uncertainties and hazards just around the next corner on the twisties that on the freeway where at lest we're all going forward with no cross traffic. (Course there was that turkey the other day, and the deer up against the median divide.... ) But when in the twisties, to mitigate the sh*t just around the next corner, I try to keep my speed within my sight and braking distance, and focus more on line and rhythm than speed through. (Not saying the rider in the vid was going too fast.)

Can it be any more clear than in this video that if you don't wear a helmet you are going to be spoon-fed oatmeal the rest of your life? Oh wait. He's lucky he didn't break his neck from the extra weight of the helmet snapping his head. Nevermind....
