So yesterday I decided to do my 600 mile steering head re-torque only to find out that the socket I bought from Ebay, which they claimed was for the FJR - didn't fit. So I decided to just order the recommended wrench from Amazon and as it turns out it's out of stock. So I guess I'll have to do...
Okay, thanks guys. I figured it would be the same torque setting for both, but thought I'd double check, since I have the correct socket, but didn't see where the service manual gave an "either or" for use. Appreciate it.
I looked at the Yamaha box but decided on the large adjustable SHAD instead because of flexibility and price and availability. Can expand to 3 different volumes which is great. It also takes a special base plate and I’m pretty sure the Yamaha does also.

My signalling fuse (7.5 amp) blew - probably because I was going to replace the stock horn and tried to test the two wires to see which one was the hot lead and I must have somehow shorted them out and blew the fuse. I didn't have a 7.5 in my inventory so replaced it with a 10 amp fuse. Okay...
