Actually no, I've got an 04 and an 05. I'm keeping at least one of them. But they're basically set up that way I want, so now it's time to replenish the bank account and sell off the parts I don't use.

I have a 2005 FJR and I'm interested in your backrest. Is it the fully adjustable model so I can set the backrest position so it is further forward?

It is adjustable so that you can set the angle of the backrest either forward or backward.
