Reiter Road is open again. Short but awesome little stretch of road that was tore up in the floods two years ago.
Two easy way to access:
1) Go east on Hwy 2 past Gold Bar about 2.5 miles. Reiter Rd start on the north side of the hwy and goes to Index.
2) Go east on Hwy 2 to Gold Bar, turn north on May Creek Rd and follow it to Reiter Rd.
Check out Wallace Falls State Park and at Index you can rock climb [or if you are a old fart like me, watch those folks climb], hike, swim, whitewater raft or just hang around and enjoy the picturesque and serene views.
My route is usually Ben Howard Rd [south side of Hwy 2] from Monroe to Sultan.
Sultan Basin Rd to Kellog Lake Rd back to Hwy 2.
Hwy 2 to Gold Bar.
Turn north in Gold Bar on May Creek Rd, on to Reiter Rd to Index.
