Sorry that I had to open up another post ,but I could not post in original thread
It would fit your color sceam..................Looks alright there but it would look a lot better on mine.
what would you consider resonable for upwards of 30 + hours of work start to finish? Or was that in jest? You know, if you were to find someone to make those for a reasonable price, with all the LD FJR guys around, you'd sell a good number of them.
Remember ,I'm one of those" Union" tinners .Ten dollars an hour. Sounds legit!
No, I was (am) not jesting.what would you consider resonable for upwards of 30 + hours of work start to finish? Or was that in jest? You know, if you were to find someone to make those for a reasonable price, with all the LD FJR guys around, you'd sell a good number of them.
OR $300...Easy!!No, I was (am) not jesting.
Clearly selling hand made 10 gallon tanks would not be viable. But it was 30 hours of labor because you were making only one of them, and also it was the first one. If you were making 50 of them together it would not take 30 x 50 = 1500 hours.
How much would an ironbutt rider pay for a giant fuel tank that eliminates a need for using an aux fuel cell and all the complexity and added reliability issues that entails? I bet you could sell them for about a grand a pop.
Ahh well, 45 minute breaks after 30 minutes of work at $50 an hour I see.Remember ,I'm one of those" Union" tinners .Ten dollars an hour. Sounds legit!
Tack that onto that GRAND that Fred W was thinking they are worth and we'll have a deal!............Plus S&HI'll go $325!
We all have our God given talents Walt. I've done that stuff on Airplanes since I was a kid. Got real good at it. I now wish I'd learned all that computer stuff you guys do. Go Figure.Takes up all that room you need for a tank bag! :-D
Seriously, looks pretty good. You guys doing sheet metal stuff with all those spot-welds, seams, grinding, finishing, painting, and shit are damed impressive. If I tried any of that I'd have a lopsided wart of a tank that leaked, and I'd me missing several fingers.
