I'm sure this topic has been discussed already, but in a month or so a co-worker and I are going to a long tour on these two bikes and we'll be doing a bit of a comparo, anyone have experience on both?

Does passing a C-14 on Cherohala Skyway count?

I have experience passing every one I've ever seen!

Please don't do another comparo. They have been done to death. We know... The Connie makes more power for the straights but the rider will decide the winner. In the curves, the FJR wins every time. Maintenance in the Connie sucks, but their engine is smoother.

Ours is more reliable with way better looks. Aw crap...I just repeated every comparo done between these bikes since 2008. Puke!

David,

We hashed it over pretty good here: CLICKY

Do a google search. Type in:

You'll be reading for awhile.

ps... Dragonfly: I'm a little jealous. Sometimes wish I lived up there in your neck of the woods. I'll be heading up to the Skyway in early June for a ride.

I just traded my '08 C14 for a '13 FJR. I'll make it simple...overall it's a draw. Just pick the one you like best.

I have had a FJR and a C14 sitting side by side in my garage for 5 years, first a 05 FJR and a 08 C14, then a 08 FJR and a 2010 C14. I'll make it simple...they are not equal for everyone and my favorite depends on the roads, distance, weather, and a half dozen other subjective factors. I have a very definite preference for touring but my preference best all around is the other one. Just pick the one you like the best.
