Of course that speedo is reading KPH, so the numbers aren't as impressive as first lead to believe! 100 kph = 62 mph.

Still, the Hayabusa will always be impressive, no matter which units are used!

Check again, I think MPH is on the outside and the kph is on the inside. I looks like to me he did get it up to 220MPH

********.

Changed sprockets and purposely is trying to exagerate speed. Speedo is horribly inaccurate. Common in the squid crowd....looking for fake glory on YouTube.

The horsepower required to go 220 is going to be around 400 hp....and this bike ain't one of them.

Uhh, I believe the earlier Busa has around 160-180HP and as of 2001 included a speed limiter for america to reduce the speed to 186MPH. This is easily overcome with a power commander.

I also read somewhere that the earlier models were pushing closer to 200MPH from the dealer!

Although I have never owned one, I have ridden one to 150MPH and it was still accelerated VERY hard at 150!!!! No other mod than the power commander.

So then, could 160 HP take the Busa to 200-220 MPH...I think it can.

You might have something there. I did note in my first post that the bike looks like it is going 25MPH by the time it got back down to 100MPH.

I watched the video a few more times. Notice the emergency vehicle u-turns in the middle of the Highway as he passes them; they don’t seem to be going by as fast at the speedometer shows. It’s especially odd when the bike is slowing down and the speedometer is going past 130MPH and at the same time the bike is passing by an emergency vehicle u-turn. It dose not look like he is passing that u-turn at 130MPH.

But this is the same guy seen on many other YouTube videos passing at about three times the speed of the other traffic. So who knows? I hope he settles down before he kills someone
