Here is the accompanying text I got with the email:

The Tulsa collision happened about 1 a.m. Tuesday, Officer Jason Willingham said.

Police said witnesses reported that the motorcycle appeared to be going at least 120 mph when it crashed into the truck on U.S.169 south of 81st Street

Police said the truck driver reported hearing a bump and then seeing debris from the motorcycle going past him. When he managed to pull over, he saw that a man was embedded in the back of his trailer, police said. The rider was dead at the scene.

Moral of the story after seeing the pictures?

Don't ride without boots:

Links instead of previews due to graphic nature:

OK, I've always wondered how people get such good photos of accident scenes like this. I mean do people get these from the crime scene specialist that took the pics? If so, I think they're doing something they're not suppose to do by sending these pics out. Do they come from some sick bastage that came across the accident and thought "Gee this is pretty feckin' graphic. Boy I bet Timmy would love to see it!"

Anyone else ever wonder, or is it just me?

In this case, based on the channels I got it from, I am guessing a cop/paramedic/firefighter was the one who took these photos. My logic is, there would be no medical team still present by the time the crime scene photog got there IMO. Thus it was likely a first responder.

But, maybe the truck driver who got hit took them?

Who knows?

Bah! Your ruining my conspiracy theory with facts! :alien:

Hrms... I've seen those photos before... Certainly before Tuesday me thinks...

Still, that's messed up...

I have so many pictures I can't share because either I was the one who took them while on duty, thus they are restricted to LEO purposes, or I got them through work with a note that they are LEO sensitive. I won't breach that trust, but I know full well that others have, and do.

My personal favorite is one where we forced entry on a home to do a welfare check on the occupant. When we found him, he had been gone a long time. Someone took their digital camera and was taking pictures of the guy (his face was sliding off his head, but he still had a solid grip on his beer). When the ME came, he asked us, "Do you hear that?" When we said no, he told us to get closer. Then we all heard it, a light buzzing sound. While my comrade was taking pictures, the ME moved a flap of skin, and there were millions of larva, maggots, whatever the hell they were just squirming around. One of the pictures my comrade took was of him puking. Good times! But, those I know will never make it to the public view. However, if you ever have a class that another friend teaches, you'll see them!

But, some of the best are pictures of a guy so high on meth, that when he had an itch in his stomach, he used a knife and carved himself up like you wouldn't believe. When deputies arrived, he was pulling on his intestines, and he had already pulled at least 1/3 of them out all the while telling the deputies that he itched. They are some of the most graphic pictures I have ever seen. I have been looking for them on the net for the last month in hopes that someone with less ethical consideration did post them somewhere so I could link to them so you guys could see them.

You know you're having a bad day when your left arm is 6" longer than your right arm (pic 1), and your neck is ~6" longer than it should be (pic 2)

RIP, dude.... too bad you didn't have HIDs installed, or at least learn to run slower at night....

I got those about a month or two ago, and they could have taken weeks, months, years to have gotten to where I'd have received them. I'm usually the last to hear about these types of things. I live in a cultural abyss.

The thing that always amazes me is the tendency for moto lists to post these kinds of pics. You don't see stuff like this, posted with such regularity, posted on the F150 board or the WRX board. What is it about our passion that also makes us ghoulish?

I think we do it because it helps us all remember how vulnerable we are compared to driving a cage. Its a wake up call of how dangerous this is, and in some sort of way we hope that if we share these photo's with someone else, maybe they'll watch how they're riding and take a little more caution.

I'm curious as to why there is not more blood, particularly from the chest area.

And, absolutely no damage to the truck or bike parts anywhere...particularly "before the crime scene guys came".

I hate to say it, but I cry foul...

We had a kid hit a palm tree at 110 and he was torn apart to where you could barely recognize any body part.

Dude, you're too cynical. It is easily concievable. Hell, I crashed at highway speed and shoved my chest through two 4x4 wooden sign posts and I didn't bleed either. (Except on the inside)
