How 'bout the following questions:

If you knew you were going to get off at speed (60+), what would you put on for that event?

What would you rather spend your money on, gear or skin grafts?

We know Aerostich works, and I'm not jumping off to test my gear, but I'd rather have nothing else.

I would want one of the medevil knight suits if I knew exactly when and where I was going get off.

As to #2, gear of course.

As to #3, I am a die hard Stich man, but I must admit that the armour is not that good in my opinion. I am thinking about replacing it with stuff Ian told me about- hard, CE armour reviewed by Bike magazine as the best.replacement armour they make a great back protector too.

Exactly what I wear now, which is why I spent all that frickin' dough on it (besides looking cool of course), namely:

The Aerostitch for weekday commuting, including accessory back and hip protectors...

And the Frank Thomas zip-together leathers (incl. knee pucks :glare: ) for weekends and track days (I don't always wear my turtle shell back protector):

The Icon in the photo above is my back-up on the shelf to the SUOMY I wear day to day.

Alpinestar boots as well.

P.S. Now, taking your question another way, for the occasion in your scenario, I might go buy a MotoGP leather suit.

Radman, when are you gonna learn.....

You can't wear fur and feathers together. They clash. Please. If you're gonna wear the tiara, at LEAST accessorize properly, will ya? Didn't ya learn nuttin during 9th grade auto shop?

Jeeezzzz.... :glare:

Quick Answer, Leather. I own leather and Aerostitch. I have not gone down in the stitch, but I have in leather.

No one has mentioned gloves.
After two other pairs, I'm now using these.
Yikes! Kinda pricey....and all those kangaroos hopping around with glove-shaped patches missing from their hides :)

But I take it you like them better than the other gloves?

(Don't let twn see them: he'll think the sliders on the palm heel are "pleasure nubbins")

An adult diaper, take a vicodin, followed with layers of leather. MX pads/chest protector over all that for all the hard obstacles. Oh yeah, and take off all watches/jewelry/eyeglasses :dribble:

<knocking violently on wood>

The only time I hit the ground on a street bike was on the race track at Summit Point at approx 80 mph. Going around a right hander, knee down, lost the front. Had full leathers, boots, gloves, body armor under leathers including back protector, helmet (of course). Slid and tumbled and walked away without a scratch or bruise.
