What in the hell allows someone to justify--in their own heads at the very least--stringing a wire across a road surface?!? Did she think she was going to just scare the motorcyclist? Teach them a lesson? What?

People are scary

They don't look real.............the pearls I mean.

I have a constant problem with noisy bikes. My house backs onto one corner of a large open field. They ride over to our corner and then let rip back across the field giving us full benefit of their pipes. We get full blown dirt bikes, quad bikes, kids on mini dirt bikes you name it. Often 2 or 3 at a time.

Whilst having my Sunday BBQ with friends ruined, I have often wished I could sit with a shot gun over the fence and pick em off. If I had a gun though, wouldnt do it, theres the difference.

I sympathise with the woman completely having been driven crazy by this for several years. What she did was very wrong though. The other thing she could have done is move I suppose, which is what I will do sooner or later. Having said that we don't exactly live next to a desert. We are in an urban area and the field is surrounded by houses. It is a recreational area and is often full of kids on pedal-bikes or playing soccer when these morons fly up and down at 60mph.

The police can't catch them as there are 4 exits to the field into a large housing estate where most of them live. Also whenever we ring the police, they arrive about 2 hours after the bikes have gone. (Probably to save themselves the embarasment).
