Dang! Calling me out...

BELIEVE ME!... there will be posting when I have that hot little girl between my legs... er uh, you know, when I take delivery!

Tomorrow should be the day... depending on what time the crate gets to the dealer. I know the check will be there by noon. If the crate isn't delivered until late, the delivery will be Friday.

Got a bunch of farkles ready to go on... :clapping:

You are definitely in a good area for and FJR. Had a CBR 954 up there and felt like a caged lion. MAN... that was tough. But the FJR will suck up those rough roads with ease. Don't know if you are dealing with the local Lompoc guy but always had good dealings with that dealership.

Let us know when she is in your garage.

OH, have the dealer check that headnut. Mine was loose.

Yep, local dealer in Lompoc has been treating me right. Dropped his price a couple times to meet my expectations. He knows I shop local and will be back. I have no problem with this philosophy.

By the way, you reminded me to print my delivery checklist. I want them to check a few things and that list is the way to remember it in the "heat of the moment".

I think we already have pics of that...

Uh, come to think of it... :blush2: :blush2: :blush2: I believe you do!

Well… I got my first look at the new girl in my life. She was delivered about 4:50 and there just wasn’t enough time left to get her ready. There was, however, enough time to get a couple pictures and see her in person for the first time. Her name: Black Betty :dribble:

Seems she didn’t survive the trip from Japan without incident. One minor chip in the lower fairing will require a new piece of plastic. Guess that means I will have to wait on the racing stripe install for a week. (They verified the plastic is stocked here in CA)

I must say, I was VERY excited, but more than willing to let them keep her overnight and do the prep properly. They are also installing my sliders for me. (Have I said somewhere how important I think sliders are?)

Anyway, I’ll post more tomorrow after I take delivery and have some time to play… maybe. We’ll see if I find time enough to post!

P.S. There are more pictures on the link in my sig.

Congrats on the new bike. That black sure can look nice. The speedo assembly never looked better with the orange back light. That goes with the black much better than my '06. Have fun the next few days.

Yo Duff.. Congrats!

I took my bike to Lompoc Honda/Yamaha for my 26,000 mile service. They did well by me! Stick with them, & "as" you are not far from my local area, I'm sure we will cross paths somewhere/sometime!

cheers,

Sch-weeeet! How about a break-in run on 58 this weekend? I need to tweak my suspenders some and thought I might make a run north.

The flake in that black paint looks really nice - the bike that was at the CycleWorld show was so scratched up and covered in hand + fingerprints that you couldn't see it.

I really, really like the grey on the AE models this year, too.

DUFF!!!

Daaaaayummm Dude.. Big high 5 on the new GF. She looks sexy!!

I wanna see her with the strips on her. Have fun and remember. You are riding on stock tires. Keep in in check until you get the feel of her again.

CONGRATS!!!

good thing ya got some pre-farkle pics too. Remember her in her virgin state, even if it is only for a few hours before the honeymoon:)

What's next after the sliders? GPS? Trunk?

Silly kid is giggling like a little girl! Sheesh, it's not like he's never owned an FJR before...

He promised to post up more pictures. If he doesn't, I'll post 'em after our ride on 58, Sunday. ;)
