I thought I would add my 2 cents in for Hyper-Lites. I just recently installed some on my 2007 FJR 1300A and thought I would share some photos with the forum. I built a small bracket that allowed me to mount the Hyper-Lites on centerline with the license plate which gets the LEDs away from break light allowing more "POP!". The brackets are held in place with the license plate's plastic screws and allows one to mount the LEDs in a top or bottom position. Have a look. Comments welcomed!

neat install. now how about some pics of the brackets? or plans how you made them, I really like how yours came out. ;)

I did something similar, but instead of making brackets I replaced those side facing reflectors with rear-facing hyperlites.

My install is very similar to yours...

Cripes, those are bright! Hard to believe in that first pic your brake lights are off. Would like to see a close up of your braket as well.

No problem on the pics. I'll get some up ASAP.

Would you be interested in buying a couple of brackets? I have extra that I made which are identical to the ones you saw in the pictures and they are already painted satin black. I guess $12.00 total should cover it which includes a little for shipping. They are made out of 18 Gage cold rolled steel.

Let me know. Be glad to send them.

Looks great!

I just got done yesterday, integrating Hyperlights with my Helmet Guardian. Fit perfectly -came out looking really clean IMO.

Strange...I replied to this post earlier but now my post is gone.

Ok, I'll post some pictures tomorrow. I also have some you can buy if you don't want to build them yourself. $12.00 for two brackets that are already painted satin black. Shipping included.

Thanks for all the compliments. I always like to see other people's work and thought someone might benefit from seeing mine.

Are my other replies to this thread making it to the board? Hello? Testing 123

email sent, interested in buying some of your brackets.

Nice work, all. I'm installing mine in the morning, but have a Q?... Which wire color going into the brake/running lite is the actual BRAKE light line. I know the black is ground, but is the blue "running", or is the yellow "running"?

Thanks

C

The Hyper-Lites' instruction sheet tells you exactly which wires you need to tap into. Flip the main instruction sheet over. The wiring instructions are on the back.

Thanks, but we must have different instructions, as mine are blank on the other side. It does say to hook to "brake" and "ground" but has no reference to color (very PC)... BUT I am ok to go, found a thread that addressed my very problem (for the 07 it's yellow for brakes...)

Farkling resumes at breakneck speed!

I think it's just hilarious that you put a "Harley Eater" plate on an FJR and then wrapped it in CHROME !!  Just a joke.... Nice apps on both bikes guys.

Yep, that there little chrome thingie is the only thing that found it's way to my FJR from my old Cruiser. I am still 99% chrome free and loving it :)

Mike-

Are these brackets still available? Installing some hyperlites and that set up looks perfect.

Thanks, Ray
