I had a new set of tires installed today and I wanted to pass this deal along to anyone who is interested. If you live in southern Caliifornia and would like to ride in with your old tires and ride out with a new set that includes removing them from your bike, mounting, balancing and disposal of your old tires then you cost is $330 out the door. If you take in just the tire and the rim they will mount and balance them for $290 out the door. If you would like the tires shipped to you in the US then your cost is $275 delivered. There direct contact info is below. Ask for Dan or Jr and tell them Trent sent you and ask for the "FJR Tire Deal". There is nothing in this for me.

UPDATE: All orders must be in by the night of Feb 5th so they can ship Feb 9th. This is a delivered cost and includes customers in California. Here is your chance, email Jr and tell him what you want and they will bill you and ship the items at the same time and on the same day. They want to get a feel for how this will go and then maybe we can open this up to the guys who want the Roadsmarts. :clapping:

That's a good deal!

I recently spent $297.30 for a set from SW Moto and another $40 to have them mounted ($337.40 total).

Also added a set of 90-deg valve stems from Bike Effects.

Thanks for the great heads up.
How long is it in effect?

I'll need tires in a month or two; but I could stock up for a good buy -- shipping included too!
You guys are welcome. As a group this forum has done much more for me than I have given back but I am working on changing that this year. This deal will be in effect until I post it is not but I think it is safe to say that this deal could very well be up for all of 2009. I think you will be alright if you wait.

Not to be outdone in the downtrodden state of Fla./south Ga. the local Yamaha dealer here (we have one) is $322.49 out the door.

Mine go on when the ignition fix comes to town (hopefully soon)

I am set to go in for the ignition fix on 1-28 and they told me Yamaha stated that the bikes should not be riden until then for safety reasons.

Just got a set from Derby shipped for $318.-that would be with a 190 spec rear which by the by is 4mm narrower than the 180 Bridgestone 020 that I took off.

Looks like a great price. I think I'll wait a bit and see what the general response is about tax and shipping. But I certainly need a new pair. I've got a little under 12,000 miles on my old Road II,s and if we rode more "SLAB" than "TWISTIES" theres probably a couple of thousand miles left on these, but fortunately we ride alot of "TWISTIES" and the side walls are shot. Actually I'm sort of proud of them, I've never wore out a set of tires on the side wall before, but then again I never owned a FJR before.

Very good deal. Thanks for sharing. Hoping the deal lasts for a few months as I just slipped on a fresh set of Diablo Stradas and I'll be interested in seeing how they compare. I had the original Pilot Road and didn't care for them, but, have heard lots of good things out of the PR2.
