Jr still needs to find out what he's "eating" on the shipping.

There may be a shipping charge. I'm waiting for Jr. to call me back.

I had a new set of tires installed today and I wanted to pass this deal along to anyone who is interested. If you live in southern Caliifornia and would like to ride in with your old tires and ride out with a new set that includes removing them from your bike, mounting, balancing and disposal of your old tires then you cost is $330 out the door. If you take in just the tire and the rim they will mount and balance them for $290 out the door. If you would like the tires shipped to you in the US then your cost is $275 delivered. There direct contact info is below. Ask for Dan or Jr and tell them Trent sent you and ask for the "FJR Tire Deal". There is nothing in this for me.

Just ordered 2 sets. JR rocks. $275 each delivered. :yahoo: Thanks Trent :clapping:

Tried Derby, but their price is +shipping, which was $49 more to my house.
Very happy to help. The shipping costs are low when your distributor pays for shipping.

Important update: (2006FJR, you may want to add this to the first post)

Jr at Cycle City Motorsports would like this info passed on to you guys:

He will honor the $275 price (shipping included in price)

He can have the tires available for a February 9, 2009 ship date

He needs a head count. Email him at: jr<at>cyclecitymotorsports<dot>com

I'm assuming there is a cut off date, but I forgot to ask him.

I just spoke to Jr and he was nice enought yesterday when I got my tires mounted to give me a ride home as a favor. These guys are really pretty cool and they are going to see how this first order goes to see how we do future orders.

All orders must be in by Feb 8th so they can ship Feb 9th. This is a delivered cost and includes customers in California. Here is your chance, email Jr and tell him what you want and they will bill you and ship the items at the same time and on the same day. They want to get a feel for how this will go and then maybe we can open this up to the guys who want the Roadsmarts. :clapping:

I get the 278.98 price from Derby too. Not that that's shabby -- I'll remember that in the future. But I'll take the 3.98 and ride to Starbuck's. :D

Thanks a ton, 2006fjr and others, for setting this up, working out the details, and passing it on.

You guys are welcome. Don't forget the Derby price does not include shipping costs and the Cycle City price is a delivered price to your door. :clapping: I was hoping to some of the local guys taking advantage of riding in to the store to have the tires changed.

Hey Joe, Let all of us know what he say's about the shipping cost. It will be interesting to see.
2006FJR updated post #1, but you can also see post #22 for the update on that.

I guess I should have updated the post where I wrote that I was waiting for a call back from JR... :dntknw:

How much is shipping? I entered a front and rear tire and it was $278.98, shipping to 92620 was $25.86 for a total of $304.84. If my group buy is $275 shipped then there is a savings of $29.84 or close to 10% and the savings will depend more on where you live. Please read this post in bold for this forum, If you can't say anything nice, or want to second-guess the organizer...don't say anything at all.

No good group buy goes un-****-on.

Where TF are all these guys with their fantastical prices before somebody else does the legwork to set something up?

Oops, that wasn't very nice, was it? I'll STFU now.

:clapping: Good job '06!

There have been instances where people have asked why there aren't more group buys like there used to be or why certain people that used to organize a lot of GB efforts no longer seem to do so.

These are examples of why. Someone steps to the plate and does the work only to have their efforts dumped on with people who claim they can get better prices or that the GB isn't discounted deeply enough.

I'll have to agree with those who ask where these *** munches were with THEIR wonderful group buys before hand.

If you can get better group prices then get a GB started and show everyone how it's done. If you can't be bothered with it and only want to piss on someone else's efforts, then why not just keep it to yourself. Step to the plate and we all benefit. Dump on the work of others and watch them quit trying.
