I seem to recall a few posts on lowering/relocating the pillion pegs a bit for my wifes comfort. Can anyone steer me in the right direction? How effective were they?

Thanks,

Al

I put on the very spendy bikejohnny lowered pegs. My wife loves them. In spite of the way they look her feet stay clear of mine. The only negative thing she noticed is that the dropped pegs make it harder to get on the bike when the trunk is installed. At the time I put the pegs on heel shields weren't available and she experienced a couple of hot-foot incidents. I have since put on the heel guards and all is well. My heel guards were not powder coated so I had a local shop do the job for me. Sorry, no pixs of the heel guards right now.

The pegs fold up completely out of the way when not in use.

On the road: First my toes touch, then my pegs touch then the passenger peg touches followed shortly by sharp banging on my helmet

Be careful, though, some of the passenger extenders don't fit with some aftermarket slip-ons.

I put the Cycle-Istic extenders on my '05. They took a little filing, inside the clevis of the extender, for the stock pegs and springs to ift, but my wife loves them.

@ toynut...

I simply swap out the extenders for the stock pegs when my wife rides her own bike... but they do fold up.

Hey guys-

I'm also in the market for same....I already have the pillion heel guards from BikeJohnny on my 05....I know the pricey "pillion peg extensions" from them will fit with the heel guards I have (they always advertise them together)....will the cycle-istics also fit with the heel guards?

will the cycle-istics also fit with the heel guards?
From the looks of the Cycle-istic extenders, you may not need the heel guards. I'm ordering some ASAP, Bren will be so happy! Thanks for the info.
