TWO PHOENIX M/C CLUBS ARE RIDING TO DEATH VALLEY DAZE ON JANUARY 23 OF 2009!

Group departure is from Interstate-10 Exit 128 and is at 0800 on Friday, January 23, 2009.

Departing: AZ Beemers and FJR Forum will be leaving from the Cracker Barrel Restaurant at 8AM on Friday morn 1/23/09.

The Cracker Barrel is located at 1207 N. Litchfield Rd., intersection of I-10 & Exit 128.

https://www.pahrumpnugget.com is the hotel's website address and their phone # is 1-866-751-6500.

You can also tent camp out if you like, sleeping in twenty degree weather. Subscribe to https://www.dvdaze.org for information on the DV camping facilities. Mike Froehlich also has a ride posted for you AZB campers!!!

Weather or Not: Information From We Death Valley Daze veterans: I have been attending this event for the last decade and have led the ride for a number of years; and we will tell you that this is the coldest ride of the year for the Arizona bike clubs! Rain, snow, sleet, hail and fog; we Phoenicians aren’t used to weather like this! Meet at the Cracker Barrel an hour early for breakfast and we will discuss which routes will be the mildest for us weather wise.

For info on THE DAZE 2009 post Don at [email protected] or call 602-722-0427 or call 480-917-3863.

I have negotiated a group rate with Samantha of the Pahrump Nugget: $82.83 a night, tax included; for a total of $165.66.

Call in before 12/31/08 for your room; I had them reserve 10 rooms: 3 smoking & 7 non-smoking, twin doubles each room.

1-866-751-6500 to reserve your room and mention either "Don Stanley" or "AZ Beemers". Casino/Resort Manager is Nakia

On December 31 the room hold expires. At this writing there are only 15 other available rooms at Pahrump Nugget Hotel.

When you book your room at 1-866-751-6500 you will be given a five digit confirmation number. Keep that number safe!!!

After all this heat for the past five months, freezing my *** off sounds a little refreshing. I'll get my room reserved this week.

Here's what was posted at AZ Beemers 5 minutes ago. If you are going to Death Valley Daze, only two hotel rooms are left!

"PWRTOY: You are welcome to ride up and stay with Don Stanley's group. Our AZ Beemers Vice-President Mike Froehlich is leading a group that departs Phoenix at 0600 and will be riding much quicker than we will.

We don't leave until 0800 and we do like to stop, photograph and chat. We always stop for a lunch break somewhere on the route where we can have a nice conversation. Michael, the most important thing right now for you is what Dakar Mohammed said: Get your hotel room first or be prepared to camp in the snow!

I reserved 10 rooms two months ago and here is who is currently signed up from AZB and AZ FJR Forum:

AZ Beemers:

Don Stanley

Richard Hall

Henry Garza

Matt Kas

Jordan Meschkow

AZ FJR Forum:

Robert Ashby from Glendale

Spudmanz from Prescott

Big-D Dan from Lake Havasu

03 Silver Bullet from Chino, CA

I believe that Matt and Jordan are rooming together. So, that only leaves two rooms available under the block of 10 that I reserved for AZ Beemers a month ago. Regardless of where you're staying: Book NOW!"

Out of the Arizona FJR Forum block of 10 rooms reserved back in August for Death Valley Daze only one remains available.

"Glad that you can join us PWRTOY! Alrighty roo, AZ Beemers and Arizona FJR Forum: This means that there is just one room out of the block of ten available that I reserved in August. So, if you are planning on going; you better move on it!"

Thank You, 03silverbullet! Posted at AZB: https://www.fjrforum.com/forum//index.php?s...=109831&hl= "I was just informed that the block of rooms is now totally sold out. But, the nice lady at the desk told my friend that by mentioning that he was with the AZB and AZ FJR groups; she'd give him the same rate as the rest of our group. The Pahrump Nugget Is Booking Up!"
